He received mentorship from renowned professors such as Prof. Dr. S. D. Shenoy, Dr. C. Balachandran, and Dr. C.R. Srinivas while pursuing a postgraduate degree in Dermatology at the esteemed Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal. He pursued specialized training in lasers and cosmetology overseas, including advanced courses in aesthetic medicine in Italy, because of his intense passion for laser treatments and dermato-surgery.
Dr. Thaj has been at the forefront of dermatology since 1999, providing cutting-edge laser procedures with the newest technology. He established unparalleled proficiency in treating vascular birthmarks by being the first person in South India to obtain a Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) machine. He has extensive experience with anti-aging procedures and vitiligo surgeries in addition to laser innovations.
In addition, Dr. Thaj’s clinic was the first in South India to offer non-surgical skin tightening and lifting options like Ultherapy and Thermage. He was among the first dermatologists in the area to use cutting-edge hair transplant methods like the strip method, follicular unit extraction (FUE), micro-graft, and mini-graft.
In little more than ten years, he has successfully extended his skin and hair clinic services to seven locations throughout Tamil Nadu and Kerala with a staff committed to patient care and empathy.
In addition to his dermatological expertise, Dr. Thaj is certified by ISSA (USA) as a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition (SFN) and a Certified Personal Trainer (CFT). In addition, he is a Senior National Judge for the Indian Bodybuilding Federation (IBBF).
